Comoto Technologies is a newly founded electric motor and actuator technology startup focused on the early development of high-torque, high-efficiency electromechanical systems for next-generation automation and mobility applications. Established in 2025 and based in Sheridan, WY, the company is currently operating as an LLC at the foundational stage of research and product definition.

 

The company is pursuing the development of advanced motor and actuator platforms intended for use in humanoid robots, collaborative and hybrid cobots, industrial robotics, drones and UAVs, aviation systems, electric vehicles, defense technologies, and power generation equipment. These sectors of industry demand compact, efficient, and reliable electric motors and actuation solutions, and Comoto is being built with the goal of addressing those requirements through disciplined engineering and long-term innovation.

 

At its current stage, the company is focused on concept development, feasibility analysis, and early design exploration, including electromagnetic, mechanical, direct drive technology, and thermal considerations critical to high-performance actuator systems. Development efforts emphasize scalability, modularity, and system-level integration, laying the groundwork for future prototyping and validation.

 

Comoto is led by its founders Omar Escalante and Joe Marcantonio and is actively establishing an early technical and advisory network with experience in electric machines, robotics, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing.
